The project partners are the town of Joeuf and the Maison des Solidarités et de la Fraternité. This organisation works with the local families of Joeuf throughout the year and encourages young people from the area to join the international project during the summer.

Work: The town has been welcoming international volunteers every summer for many years. The philosophy of the project is to bring together the residents of Joeuf and young people from around the world, allowing them to share their cultures and build connections. The theme of the project is simply friendship! Friendship between humans, between cultures, and between humans and nature— a value that is important to nurture. In Joeuf, this original workcamp offers you a unique immersion with homestay accommodation and the opportunity to meet young people from around the world. Before the project begins, you will start a correspondence with a local teenager to prepare your stay and share ideas and plans. Sports and solidarity will be at the heart of the adventure, with team tournaments, dynamic challenges, and moments to push yourselves together. You will also help organise a major festive event with local residents, where music, games, and activities will create a lively and friendly atmosphere. At the same time, a diverse cultural program will allow you to discover the town through unique workshops, visits, and local explorations. You will experience an enriching and unforgettable journey, where you can learn, share, create, have fun, and return with memories and new friendships.

Accomodation and food: For the first time this year, the residents of the Joeuf are delighted to welcome you into their homes for a full immersion in the local community. Shortly before the start of the workcamp, you will be put in contact with a local teenager to help prepare your stay and start getting to know each other. Beyond working hours, volunteers come together to organise daily life on the camp. Often divided into teams, they plan menus, help with the shopping, prepare meals, and ensure the cleanliness of shared spaces. Fully involved in shaping your experience, you will also take part in decision-making regarding group activities and daily organisation! In order to reduce the environmental impact of our projects, we prioritise vegetarian menus, which meet all the nutrional needs of participants. There will be French volunteers on the workcamp. Some of them might not speak English. This can be an opportunity for everyone to develop new language skills and innovatove ways of communicating!
