This project is organized and hosted by De Amicitia. De Amicitia is an environmental non governmental organisation that is funded in 1998 and actively working in the youth field and volunteering for many years. The main activity of the organisations is organising workcamps and local/ international youth projects in collaboration with the town halls and local associations.

Work: Casa Jazmín is our headquarters and project hub dedicated to promoting community development through international volunteerism. The project creates direct synergies between participants and the local community of Sanet i Negrals, focusing on rural sustainability and social integration through hands-on cooperation with the Town Hall and local associations. The work is dynamic and involves a flexible mix of tasks designed to support local needs. Volunteers will contribute to the upkeep of public spaces through gardening, painting, and renovation tasks. Additionally, participants will provide educational support at the local summer school, sharing languages and arts with local children, and engage in ecological farming initiatives and environmental volunteering, such as maintaining educational beehive panels or trail cleaning. Based on the association’s priorities and the specific needs of the municipality, the project also includes a strong social component. Volunteers may participate in social visits to the elderly, charity events, and creative reflection workshops. There are different Casa Jazmín camps running throughout the summer. Each group continues the work of the previous one, creating a collaborative effort where tasks may vary depending on what previous teams have completed. Volunteers should be ready for a hands-on, flexible, and multipurpose experience, excited to contribute to both the environment and the social fabric of the village.

Accomodation and food: The volunteers will stay in a volunteer house, with four rooms with several bunkbeds and 2 bathrooms. They will share rooms with four to six other volunteers. The house includes a nice kitchen in which the volunteers will cook for themselves in the guidance of the camp leaders. You can either bring your own sheets or a sleeping bag. There are beds and pillows, sheets and pillow covers but it will be convenient that the volunteers bring their own. There is a washing machine available.

Location: SanetyElsNegrals

Location and Leisure: Sanet is a small town in the southwest of Spain close to Dénia (Valencian Community). It lays in the beautiful countryside, surrounded by hills which are great for hiking - there are a lot of hiking trails to discover. There is a local swimming pool available and Dénia is only 15 minutes by cars. The house is located right in the middle of the village so there are great opportunities to interact and socialize with the locals and to truly experience the Spanish countryside. Furthermore, the volunteers can make excursions to Ondara and El Vergel, local towns close to Sanet. The surrounding villages like Benimelli and Ràfol d Almunia can also be visited. There will also be day trips (on free days) to the beach which is about 15 minutes by car from Sanet.

Requirements: The extra fee has be paid by card ( in the exceptional cases we can accept bank transfer as well) 3 weeks before the camp as a confirmation of participation. If we don t recieve the fee and the flight/bus tickets of the volunteer, we will consider that she/he will not attending to project and we will give opportunity to other volunteers that are on the waiting list.

ARRIVAL: ALICANTE AIRPORT (ALC) from 17:00 to 18:00 All volunteers will be picked up directly from the Arrivals area of Alicante Airport by a private minibus service provided by the Benniconnect company. This comfortable and reliable transfer will take the group straight to the camp location in Sanet i Els Negrals. *The pickup will take place during the afternoon, but the exact time will be confirmed soon in the Infosheet*. Upon arrival at the site, the campleaders will be there to welcome everyone, introduce the space, and help settle in for the start of the project. DEPARTURE: Please organise your departure after 11 am. The minibus will take all the volunteers to the ALICANTE Airport at 09:00 am, before IT IS NOT POSSIBLE.
