Work: BAKAP is a project aimed at helping Ankara s producers, who are forced to produce their crops at high costs and sell them at low prices, to break free from this cycle and get back on their feet through rural development projects that revitalize the city s economy. Ankara Metropolitan Municipality contributes to the economy by distributing various agricultural products grown at the 3,500-decare BAKAP Agricultural Campus free of charge to local producers and small family businesses. Volunteers in this project will assist with environmental and rural development work. They will also participate in training and cultural exchange activities at municipal youth centers.

Accomodation and food: Volunteers will stay in 2-3 person rooms at a youth dormitory belonging to Ankara Metropolitan Municipality. Meals will also be served there. On some days, they may stay in tents in a rural development area.

Location: ANKARA

Location and Leisure: Ankara is the capital and political center of Türkiye. Although not a major tourist destination, it is home to many noteworthy museums and historical and cultural sites. Being in the city center offers opportunities to participate in city tours. Ankara is also where our GSM office is located. Social activities with our young volunteers and other partners in the city can also be expected.

Train/Bus station: Ankara Esenboga Airport is the nearest. You can come from Istanbul to Ankara by high speed train as well.
