The Youth Office of Obrenovac Municipality is a local public structure dedicated to improving the position of young people, developing volunteerism, informal education and active participation of young people in community life. Through many years of work, the Office for Youth develops and implements programs that connect young people with local institutions, the civil sector and international partners, with the aim of making young people visible agents of change in their environment. One of the important segments of our work is the development and support of volunteer programs. In previous years, the Youth Office of the Obrenovac Municipality was an active contact point for international volunteer camps in cooperation with the Young Researchers of Serbia, through which the camps in Obrenovac were realized, but also enabled the participation of young people from Obrenovac in camps all over Europe and the world. In this way, the local community was directly connected with the international volunteer movement, exchange of experiences and intercultural learning. The mission of the Office for Youth is to create a stimulating environment in which young people develop personal, professional and social competences, while at the same time strengthening the community in which they live. The vision of our work is based on Obrenovac as an open, supportive and creative environment, where local resources, culture and nature are preserved and developed through the active participation of young people. By organizing an international volunteer camp, the Office for Youth continues to connect art, volunteerism and care for common goods, offering volunteers the opportunity to become part of the local community of Obrenovac through concrete work, learning and common life.

Work: Volunteers will have a dual role during the camp and will be equally involved in the artistic and volunteer part of the program. As participants of the Art Colony, international and domestic volunteers, together with local artists, will daily participate in the process of creating works of art (painting, drawing and other art techniques), with the mentoring support of colony participants and expert associates of JP SKC "Obrenovac". The working part of the camp will take place during 5-6 working hours a day, mostly in the morning and early afternoon. Artistic activities will be realized within the program of the colony, while the second part of the work will include volunteer actions for the maintenance and improvement of the space of the Natural History Center in the Obrenovac Arboretum. These activities include painting, basic repairs, cleaning and arranging the area in which the colony and the camp are realized. Volunteers will be assisted in their work by camp organizers, employees of JP SKC "Obrenovac", local artists - participants of the colony, as well as camp leaders in charge of coordination, security and daily organization of activities.

Accomodation and food: During the camp, the volunteers will be accommodated in the premises of the Nature Center in the Obrenovac Arboretum, where sleeping conditions and basic personal hygiene, including showers and sanitary facilities, are provided. Accommodation is in common rooms, adapted to group stay of volunteers and living together during the camp. Food for volunteers will be organized in the form of catering. Meals will be provided to the volunteers daily at agreed times, adjusted to the work schedule of the camp and activities within the Art Colony. Refreshments and drinks will be provided during the day. This way of organizing accommodation and food allows volunteers to stay and work in the same space where artistic and volunteer activities are carried out, which contributes to better organization, teamwork and more intensive bonding of camp participants.

Location and Leisure: The camp will be held at the Nature Center in the Obrenovac Arboretum, a green oasis located in the very urban core of Obrenovac. The Arboretum is a recognizable public space dedicated to culture, education and being in nature, and has been the host of the Art Colony and other summer events for years. Volunteers will stay and work in a natural environment, surrounded by greenery, artistic work and daily activities of the colony, which gives the camp a special blend of creativity and nature. The space allows working outdoors, but also staying in the closed premises of the Nature Center. Obrenovac is located at the confluence of the Kolubara and Sava rivers and offers numerous opportunities to learn about local culture and natural features. Volunteers will have the opportunity to get to know the city, riverbanks, promenades and summer events that are held during that period as part of the "Obrenovac Summer". If necessary, shorter visits to the surrounding natural and cultural sites are planned, in accordance with the interests of the group and the schedule of the camp.
