The workcamp is organised in cooperation with the town of Odolena Voda, a municipality of around 6,600 inhabitants located about 20 km north of Prague. The town actively supports community life, regeneration of public spaces, and environmental protection, guided by the motto “A peaceful and healthy town.” The main goal of the workcamp is to support the expansion of a local nature reserve, help develop a new park, and contribute to the creation of a mural that enhances public space and reflects community values. The project contributes to SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) and SDG 15 (Life on Land).

Work: The work combines outdoor environmental tasks with creative activities in public spaces. Volunteers will help maintain and expand green areas by cutting bushes and removing branches. They will also participate in designing and creating a mural and in designing benches for public use, contributing to the visual and functional improvement of the town. The work is mildly physically demanding and includes both manual and creative tasks. In case of rain, activities will move indoors and focus on painting cellar spaces. All tools and protective equipment, including saws, rakes, and work gloves, are provided. The transportation back and from the work site to the accommodation will be done on foot or by bike.

Accomodation and food: Volunteers will be accommodated in the local Elementary school. They will share sleeping spaces, with the layout depending on the size and composition of the group. Accommodation may be in one, two, or three rooms. Volunteers will stay in shared sleeping spaces, arranged in one, two, or three rooms depending on the group. They will sleep on gymnastic mattresses or sleeping pads and must bring their own sleeping bag and pillow. The accommodation includes a refrigerator, kitchenette, and Wi-Fi. Sanitary facilities are shared and consist of 20 toilets and 3 showers. Volunteers will prepare their own breakfast, lunch, and dinner from provided ingredients.
