Cambodian Youth Action (CYA) was established on October 10, 2010, as a non-governmental organization and received official registration from the Ministry of Interior on November 11, 2014. As a volunteer-based organization, CYA operates with a dedicated team of volunteers committed to our vision and mission. We are proud to be the pioneering workcamp organization in Cambodia recognized internationally by esteemed networks such as the Network for Voluntary Development in Asia (NVDA), of which we have been a full member since 2012, the Coordinating Committee for International Voluntary Service (CCIVS), International Association for Volunteer Efforts (IAVE), the Service Civil International (SCI) an Int’l organization with over 40 branches globally, International Cultural Youth Exchange (ICYE), and the ALLIANCE of European Voluntary Service Organizations.

Work: CYA-Learning Center (CLC), founded in 2014 to teach English to local children, has grown from a simple bamboo classroom into a vibrant hub with modern classrooms, a library, and a computer center. Thanks to dedicated national and international volunteers, CLC now offers diverse learning opportunities alongside life-skill activities like gardening, soap-making, and renovation projects that promote sustainability and community growth. CLC’s story is a powerful example of volunteerism and collaboration driving lasting change. Join us and be part of this journey—your time and skills can help create brighter futures and a lasting legacy of hope. Join over 150 passionate volunteers from around the world each year and make a real difference in the lives of local children and youth! At CLC, you’ll have the opportunity to engage in diverse, meaningful activities, including: Teach English & Digital literacy Lead Creative Workshops Promote Health & Morality Cultural Exchange School Improvement Organize Study Trips Cook & Share Meal

Accomodation and food: Volunteers will stay together in a shared volunteer house located inside the CYA-Learning Center, creating a warm community atmosphere. There is no chef—volunteers will be divided into small cooking teams, taking turns to prepare meals, serve, clean, and wash dishes. It’s a fun way to share cultures, try new recipes, and enjoy meals together as part of the experience.

Location and Leisure: All volunteers will have free weekends to explore tourist attraction spots such as Teuk Chhou, Bokor National Park, Rabbit Island, and more. Since CLC is located in a spacious, remote area, your free time isn’t limited to travel—you can also engage with local people, teenagers, and children by organizing fun activities or cultural exchanges. Bring your flexibility, creativity, and enthusiasm to make the most of your weekends and free time!
