There is truth in that sports bring people together. Seize the opportunity and share your love for sports, or a sport of your liking, with the people of Nepal. Football/ Soccer and cricket are big in Nepal while other sports are only now beginning to take root. As a volunteer or intern sports coach/teacher you would bring joy and know-how to a Nepal full of warmth and enthusiasm but few means and little know- how.

Work: Your Role-Teach/Coach sport(s) to children and teachers in a school.-Or/And teach/coach sport(s) within the community.-Popular sports in Nepal arevolleyball, football, cricket, basketball and you can add any more indoor and outdoor games.

Accomodation and food: The volunteers will stay with the host family/hostel identified by VIN. The living facilities are simple and basic. Male and female volunteers will share the same living area with separate rooms. The volunteers sleep on simple beds/mattresses. Please bring your sleeping bag.

Location: KATHMANDU

Location and Leisure: Jitpurphedi is a community in Tarakeshwor Municipality, located 10-15 km from Kathmandu s main ring road, surrounded by hills, fields, and woods. You can go sightseeing at various sites around the community. Siddhicharan Municipality, Ward 2, Nisankhe-Nestled in Okhaldhunga district, about 250 km from Kathmandu. -Accessible via local jeep (8i10 hours). -Scenic hills, fertile farmland, and dense forests surround it. For more details about the region, visit www.ntchc.org.VIN also organizes weekend travel tours to Chitwan Jungle Safari, Pokhara, and Nagarkot at an additional cost if you are interested.

Requirements: We accept volunteers twice monthly, on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month. You are required to arrive a day before your project start date. -Basic English should be spoken among the participants - Physically sound as per the project requirements.

A VIN staff member will pick up volunteers from the airport. Please send your flight details in advance so we can provide a name card with the VIN logo.
