FSL-India, (Field Services and Inter-cultural Learning - India) is a youth development organization focused towards Inter-cultural Learning through Voluntary Services set up to promote Global Understanding by providing opportunities to the youth to work in different cultural contexts to appreciate Inter-cultural learning. Thereby, reducing boundaries and bringing people to work together in harmony by understanding the Inter-cultural aspects focusing towards development of people and society through youth mobility and volunteerism. Founded in the year 2000 and legally incorporated in 2001, FSL-India is a Trust under Indian Trust Act 1882. It was formed with the support of like-minded National and International Organizations with a primary purpose to bring about global transformation, progress and growth through youth exchange programs. FSL-India is headquartered in Bangalore, with regional offices in Karnataka (Bangalore, Mysore, Mangalore and Kundapur) and Pondicherry and is well equipped with experienced associates who support developmental activities across the country with the help of Local and Regional Partners. Annually, FSL- Indi a mobilizes movement of 500 and more youths from across the globe with the support of International Partners and local NGOs
Work: Camp Duration: 4 Weeks in two location Dharmshala: 2 Weeks and Mysore: 2 Weeks The camp will focus on the volunteers to understand the social and cultural aspects of the community they work. The volunteers will be given experience through interactions, workshops exchange of ideas, need analysis with the support of team leader, planning and be a part of completing the schedule work with the group of volunteers to the benefit of the community and a learning experience to the volunteers. The camp will consist of community service, Learning, Culture and evaluation EXPLORE DHARMSHALA Major Activities (These activities for minimum 10 pax) Teaching Basic English and Digital Education to the children Explore and understand Tibetan culture through visits Interaction with Tibetan monks Unleash your creativity with educational drawings (murals) Creating awareness on waste management Learning to cook Tibetan food Participate in Yoga classes with professional instructor Interaction with local people EXPLORE MYSORE Major Activities (These activities for minimum 10 pax) Teaching Basic English and interaction with children Explore and understand local culture through visits Mysore palace and traditional market visit Working with farmers and interaction on field Conduct village survey and interaction with women Explore silk weaving, art and craft unit Visit Indian family and cook Indian food Experience Indian traditional clothing Intercultural exchange and interaction with local university
Accomodation and food: accommodation: At a rented guest house or hostel, with shared rooms Food: Indian vegetarian and non-vegetarian food will be provided for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Safe, filtered water is available for drinking.

Location and Leisure: Dharmshala: Location: McLeod Ganj in Kangra district which is the upper part of Dharamshala. Dharamshala is located in the state of Himachal Pradesh, North India, 500 kms from Delhi Leisure activities: Tibet has maintained a unique culture, religion and language for centuries. After the Chinese nvasion in 1950, the Dalai Lama, Tibet’s political and religious leader sought and was given asylum in India, along with thousands of Tibetan refugees. Today, there is a thriving settlement in Dharamshala, which is called Tibet-in-exile. To learn about Tibetan culture and religion, there are many places of interest at Dharamshala. Tsuglagkhang, Mcleodganj the residence of the Dalai Lama is a must-visit, as are the Tibet Museum, Dalai Lama temple, Tibetan Parliament House, Library of Tibetan Works and Archives, War Memorial and Kangra Art Museum. The Tibetan Children’s Village, a charitable organisation, caters to children who are in the greatest need among the refugees. For the last 5 decades, it has run solely on the generosity of its well-wishers. At Gyuto and Namgyal Monasteries, you can interact with the Tibetan monks and get valuable insights into the peace-loving Buddhist philosophy. If you are in the right place at the right time, you could even be fortunate enough to meet His Holiness, the 14th Dalai Lama himself. Palampur, the Tea Capital of North India is famous for its beautiful tea gardens, which are a natural scenic sight. Tea lovers can pick up some handcrafted, fresh mountain teas here. Some of the teas available are Black Teas, White Teas, Oolong Teas, Green Teas and Tisanes.
