Stanton Home has a team of 70+ dedicated professionals who partner with and provide support to over 20 adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. These adults live in residential homes in the Berkshires and come together for a vibrant day program at Stanton Home with activities including organic gardening, composting, music, yoga, hiking, weaving, culinary arts, and various activities throughout the local community including horseback riding and pottery. Stanton Home has been providing care for adults with diverse needs since 1986. We believe the most important thing in life is relationships, and that all people have a right to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives.

Work: Volunteers assist with activities of daily living and direct personal care necessary for the health, safety, and well-being of the people we support. In our residential program volunteers are part of a small team that provides support in a person-centered, home-like environment. In our day program, volunteers partner with day program participants to support them in their programming.

Requirements: A caring mindset, empathy and compassion. Enthusiasm and eagerness to learn. A team oriented approach and the commitment to developing positive relationships with residents, program participants, staff and other volunteers. Dependable, professional and task-oriented. Ability to speak at least intermediate English and a valid driver s license permitting you to drive in the US is required.
