Oujda is a border town in Morocco, located in the extreme north-east of the country, on the edge of the Rif Oriental region, its proximity to the Saidia beach and to Algeria, 5 km away, allows it to play the role of crossroads between Morocco and Algeria; it has more than a million inhabitants.

The medina of Oujda, with its Arab-Muslim character, is surrounded by a belt of gardens planted with olive trees, covering an area of twenty-five hectares and housing several monuments of unquestionable historical value.

 Chantiers Jeunesse Maroc organises a work camp in partnership with the Ministry of Education.

work : The work consists of laying out, gardening and painting in a social action centre. The duration of the work is 5 hours per day.

 

Accomodation and food: Volunteers will have accommodation in a secondary school. We will send you more information about the address of the accommodation.. meals will be prepared by volunteers.

Location: Oujda

Leisure activities : The work will go hand in hand with other activities organised by the volunteers themselves: excursions, family visits, cultural entertainment, sports, visits to historical monuments, etc...

Requirements:  You will also need to bring working clothes, a sleeping bag and anything else that could help the work camp run smoothly (games, musical instruments, recipes, etc...).
