EN : In the heart of the French region Auvergne, known for its magnificent sleeping volcanoes, the town of Maringues has an exceptional historical heritage. It invites you to discover many other treasures and especially its inhabitants! This year, the municipality wishes to welcome an international workcamp to help finalize shared gardens along the river of the Morgue. The City Council, very sensitive to current environmental issues, wants to enhance nature in the city, and raise awareness among its residents: that s why it is calling on us, on you! Between the river, the green spaces and the old tanneries of the city carrying the history of Maringues, the city wishes to embellish its banks with shared gardens for the inhabitants, to arrange a green way for the cyclists and to emphasize its historical heritage. FR : Au cœur de la région française Auvergne, connue pour ses magnifiques volcans endormis, la ville de Maringues porte un patrimoine historique exceptionnel. Elle t invite à découvrir bien d autres trésors et surtout ses habitant·e·s ! Cette année, la municipalité souhaite accueillir un chantier international pour l aider à finaliser des jardins partagés aux abords de la rivière de la Morgue. La Mairie, très sensible aux enjeux environnementaux actuels, veut valoriser la nature en ville, et sensibiliser ses habitant·e·s : c est pour cela qu elle fait appel à nous, à toi ! Entre la rivière, les espaces verts et les anciennes tanneries de la ville portant l histoire de Maringues, la ville souhaite embellir ses rives avec des jardins partagés pour les habitant-e-s, aménager une voie verte les cyclistes et mettre en valeur son patrimoine historique.

Work: EN : Come and embellish the banks of the river of Maringues! The municipality wishes to create shared gardens for its inhabitants along the river la Morgue! For that, they need you to finalize them. On this workcamp, you will have the opportunity to work on the landscaping along the river! The idea is to transform uncultivated plots of land into shared gardens: leveling, stairs, delimitation, construction of a tool shed, construction of nesting boxes and insect hotels, compost bin... The idea is to highlight the foot of the old historical tanneries of the city and to develop in an aesthetic way the river banks which will welcome a greenway in 2024. To do this, you will also be able to count on the help of the local inhabitants, such as the young people of the day-care center and the sports and cultural associations to work in this pleasant setting marked by its great historical wealth. The satisfying part is that you will be part of the team that will finish this work before you can see the final result! FR : Viens embellir les rives de la rivière de Maringues ! La municipalité souhaite créer des jardins partagés pour ses habitant-e-s le long de la rivière la Morgue ! Pour cela, elle a besoin de toi pour les finaliser. Sur ce chantier, tu auras l opportunité de travailler sur l aménagement paysager en bords de rivière ! L idée : transformer des parcelles en friche en jardins partagés : aplanissement, escaliers, délimitations, construction d un cabanon à outils, construction de nichoirs et d hôtels à insectes, bac à compost… L idée étant de mettre en valeur les pied des anciennes tanneries historiques de la ville et d aménager de façon esthétique les bords de la rivière qui accueilleront une voie verte en 2024 . Pour ce faire, tu pourras aussi compter sur l aide des habitants locaux, comme les jeunes du centre aéré et les associations sportives et culturelles pour travailler dans ce cadre agréable marqué par sa grande richesse historique. Le côté satisfaisant, c est que tu fera parti de l équipe qui terminera ce travail avant de pouvoir voir le résultat final !

Accomodation and food: EN : Accommodation is in tents (1 person per tent, provided by the association) on the lawns of the Maringues sports complex, less than 10 minutes walk from the site. Don t forget to bring your camping equipment (ground sheet, sleeping bag, etc.). Two marquees will be set up to be able to eat in the shade and for group activities (meals/games...). We have private access to locker rooms, toilets/showers, a place to safely store your belongings, a fully equipped kitchen and even the gym! You will be an actor of your stay, and will participate in the daily tasks (shopping, cooking, tidying, cleaning etc...). The organization of the rotation will be done with the campleader team which is there to ensure the good progress. The team is composed of: a BAFD director, a BAFA animator and a technical animator. All these people supervise and accompany the group. The objective is to gain in autonomy and that each one acts individually to allow a good collective functioning! Together, you will think about how to work, eat, have fun, move around and visit the region in the most environmentally friendly way possible. FR : L hébergement se fait sous tente (1 personne par tente, fournie par l association) sur les pelouses du complexe sportif de Maringues, à moins de 10 minutes à pied du chantier. N oublie pas d apporter ton matériel de camping (tapis de sol, sac de couchage, etc.). Deux barnum seront installés pour manger à l ombre et pour les activités de groupe (repas/jeux...). Nous disposons d un accès privé aux vestiaires, aux toilettes/douches, d un endroit pour mettre vos affaires en toute sécurité, d une cuisine entièrement équipée et même du gymnase ! Tu sera acteur/actrice de ton séjour, et participera aux tâches quotidiennes (courses, cuisine, rangement, nettoyage etc...). L organisation du roulement sera fait avec l équipe d animation qui est là pour veiller au bon déroulement. L équipe est composée de personnes : un·e directeur·ice de séjours BAFD, un animateur·ice BAFA et un·e animateur·ice technique. Tout ce petit monde supervise et accompagne le groupe. L objectif est de gagner en autonomie et que chacun·e agisse individuellement pour permettre un bon fonctionnement collectif ! Tou·te·s ensemble, vous réfléchirez à comment travailler, se nourrir, s amuser, se déplacer, visiter la région de la façon la plus respectueuse pour l environnement qu il soit.

Location and Leisure: EN : The town of Maringues is located in the Puy-de-Dôme, a department of the Auvergne. On the horizon of this charming town you can see the chain of puys, the famous sleeping volcanoes! Maringues is also famous for its historical and architectural heritage: a beautiful listed church, a kiosk, a dovecote and no less than 66 old leather tanneries, in a remarkable state of preservation, on the banks of the Morge, the river that runs through its center. Finally, a large number of cultural and sports associations animate the city, which organizes every year large village festivals!
