The work will be mainly manual and outdoors. Bring something special from home which could be suitable for such an activity (games, music, pictures, etc.). Furthermore, you will assist with the preparation and organization of a public cultural event (beer festival).

Accomodation and food

All the volunteers will sleep together in the local community centre on provided mattresses in their own sleeping bags. Project hosted by

This project is organized in cooperation with the municipality of Dysina located in northwestern Bohemia, near Pilsen. The first mention of the village dates back around 1242 during the reign of the Premyslids. The village has an industrial history and till nowadays, there is a strong connection to the U.S. General Patton who freed the Western part of Czechoslovakia at the end of WWII with his troops. There are several active voluntary, social and sports associations in the village. This workcamp aims to help with the maintenance of the green areas and other public places in the village, to organize a traditional beer festival and to prepare local primary school and kindergarten for the beginning of the new school year and prepare public cultural events in the village. At this workcamp, you will actively contribute to the achievement of UN SDG11 Sustainable Cities.
