Description: Where to go on foot to Santiago de Compostela? Get involved: new signs for the pilgrimage route. Arnsdorf, a small village on the pilgrimage route, has a lot going on: Up to 350 pilgrims stay overnight in the lovingly designed pilgrims' hostel each year as they walk the ecumenical pilgrimage route towards Spain, Santiago de Compostela, and are warmly welcomed in the village. Summer country cinema, which has been showing a variety of films for the past 20 years, is also well-known and popular. Both are voluntarily organized by residents and the church building and village history association, and they serve as a wonderful place of communication for everyone. Experience the tranquillity of the countryside while supporting the village's innovative ideas. Arnsdorf is near Görlitz.

Type of Work: Renewal of the pilgrimage route signage (physical work). Maintenance & painting work on the pilgrimage route and pilgrim hostels. Creative design of the signposting (creative work). Harvesting work for self-catering with vegetables.

Study Theme: Meet the experience of pilgrimage, life in a rural region and the ecumenical pilgrimage route.

Accommodation: In the cozily constructed barn, in beds or mattress dormitories, sanitary facilities, shower, and toilet are located in the outbuilding. Cook together in the barn kitchen. In your free time you can hike on the pilgrimage trail, visit the city of Görlitz, swim in a nearby lake, play football or go bowling.

Requirements: Interest in physical, manual work and culture.
