The ijgd has been organising volunteer service programmes since 1949. We are an independent, non-profit association for international youth work, a recognised independent youth welfare organisation, and one of the largest and oldest workcamp organisations in Germany. Each year, we assist around 5,000 young people into volunteer work in Germany and abroad. We give them the opportunity to be creative, act in solidarity, take responsibility for themselves, and discover their own true potential and strengths. Our principles: Ecological learning, voluntary contribution, self-organisation, social development, intercultural learning, gender equality, anti-racism/anti-discrimination and political education

Work: Are you interested in spending two weeks in an international and artistic environment exploring your creative potential? Then come to Stolpe, where a former cement factory is turning into a new and exciting art space! In this work and performance camp you will experience creativity together with your host, the Ponderosa Artists’ Association: you will take part in daily workshops on theatre, design and body movement. The workshops will be led by renowned teachers and artists from all over the world who are professionals in the world of stage, movement, performance and improvisation. Alongside these workshops you will contribute your workpower to this art space and the wonderful nature surrounding the area. We invite you to bring in your youthful spirit and ideas in order to take care of this exciting space. Possible tasks could include improving the canal beach, planting an urban agricultural forest plot and working in the garden, building seating along the grounds, as well as setting-up and decorating a bar and party room for festivities. Everything will be taking place in dance studios inside the former cement factory. The cement factory is a new space for art, culture, education and sustainable enterprise that supports innovate and ecological values. This piece is the newest development of the Ponderosa Artists’ Association, which has been established and active in the local area for 20 years. https://www.kulturparkstolpe.de/ https://www.ponderosa-dance.de/offspring/
