PROJECT AIMS AND DESCRIPTIONS GIED is a non-government organization that primary aims
to promote various meaningful collaborations in building
local communities and empowering people to be partners

in nation building through spirit of volunteerism and cross-
cultural interactions.

PROJECT ACTIVITIES  Promotion of International Exchange Programs,
Services and Activities through Long Term and
Short Term Programs as well as Workcamps and
Study visits for inter-cultural learning
 Training and Capability Building programs on
volunteerism and inter-cultural learning
 Establishment of partners and network of

organizations to promote volunteerism and inter-
cultural learning advocacies

 Marketing/ Resource Mobilization
 Immersion/Experiential Activities for active youth
participation and community development

VOLUNTEER’S REQUIREMENTS  Flexible, open-minded and able to adopt the local life

 High interest and or has background on Photo and or
photo documentation, graphic arts, Information
Technology, Data-Base Programming
 Independent and can handle limited supervision
 Interest in presentation and communication skills
VOLUNTEER’S TASKS  Support to the organization’s promotion of

international voluntary service
 Assist the staff in the daily office work of the
organization which include but not limited to the
following: development of promotional materials like
print, audio and video presentations, do volunteer
related advocacy campaigns in schools, communities,
institutions, events, etc.
 Co-coordinator or camp leader for its short-term
program to international volunteers participating work
 Assist during training/capacity building programs,
community visits and other community development
related work
 Organize/ facilitate special projects
 Look for Grants/Donations for the community
ACCOMODATION  Living with host family (expect to have a shared room

with your host sister or brother)


 Visa processing is a long way here in the Philippines. To apply for a volunteers’ VISA, it should be before arrival
and it will roughly take 3-4 months to fully process the aforementioned.
 GIED & PNVSCA agreed that we strictly observe the deployment of LTV program quarterly only to facilitate
smooth processing of free volunteers visa in the Philippines.
 On the special arrangement we do accept LTV participants year round depending the availability of the project
and there is no guarantee of free volunteer’s visa during these months.
 If the volunteer cannot get the 47a2 visa. He/She will use tourist visa. We have 30 days free tourist visa. No
need to apply, just bring passport and the volunteer will get tourist visa upon arrival. after that, before it will

expire She/He will extend it here in the Philippines for the first month it cost 3,300 pesos (around 55 Euro) then
for the next two months is 8,000 (134 Euro) and extend again for another 2 months until her/his voluntary work
will finish.
