Extra fee to be paid in the hosting country:

Purpose of extra costs:

The participation fee payable upon arrival will be 150 Euros covering foods, local transport, accommodation, administration cost, material for the camp. All personal expenses are excluded

Description: SCI Bangladesh is going to organize Create a Climate for Peace work camp to strengthen the capacity of its regular volunteers as well as members of the community on the causes and consequences of climate change. The Cox’s bazar Sea Beach is the largest sea beach in the world and hundreds of national and international tourists visit this sea beach each day. However, cleanliness of the sea beach and sea water has become a big concern as many of the tourists do not have adequate knowledge to make the sea beach and sea water human friendly. educating tourists on behavior change could be considered as an innovative approach. This initiative will significantly contribute to raise awareness of the volunteers, tourists on climate change issues specifically the importance Clean beach environment 

Type of Work: Symbolic demonstration (Cleaning & Campaign), Environment friendly tree plantation, door to door hygiene campaign. 

Study Theme: Discussion on Climate change and our role to make it friendly, visit local community to build social awareness. 

Accommodation: Volunteers will stay at YPSA's (A local NGO) dormitory. They will share common bathroom and toilet. Volunteers will be given simple vegetarian/Non-vegetarian food, to cook and manage themselves. 

Overseas volunteer will be hosted by SCI BD before and after the camp. 

Language: English should be spoken among participants. Local language is Bengali 

Requirements: Volunteer will bring working shoes, hand gloves, sleeping bag, insect repellent, toiletries & good humor.
