Yeongwol is one of the most environmentally-friendly provinces in Korea. It is about 200km away from Seoul to the east bound, takes 2 hours by express bus. This village is surrounded by mountains so participants can feel fresh nature. Yeongwol is facing at the rapid transforming into multi-society caused by depopulation and aging society. Now in Yeongwol, people from various cultural background become community members. Therefore, young people are also required to have competencies to live together harmoniously with the various cultures in the school and ordinary life. Participants will organize the capacity building and cultural understanding programs through in & outdoor activities.

Work: Participants will organize the summer culture camp for local youth in order to enhance their cultural understanding and develop the competences more such as communication, cooperation, inclusion, conflict resolution and so on. It would be necessary to have ideas and contributions from participant’s experience and knowledge for the program design such as sports, music, theatre, games and food so on. Participants will have various opportunities on the cultural experiences of Korean and local area too for instance cooking, costume, local festival and heritages. Participants will also help local communities by picking up agricultural products and assisting disadvantaged people.

Accomodation and food: In the guest house/ Meals are provided

Location and Leisure: Rafting in the river and visiting historical places around.
