Yeosu county is famous with romantic night view, nature attractions, food and EXPO. It consists of 217 islands distributed across the southwestern corner of the Korean peninsula. All islands are connected by bridges or ferries for the convenience of transportation. It is 340 km away from Seoul south bound (About 4.5 hours by express bus). Project site (Nang-do) is the trek friendly island thanks to gentle and hilly land. It also has beautiful sand beaches and sceneries. In addition, it has interesting and unique local cultures too because island is away from main land. Participants will help visitors to discover the value of island and also guide them the creative way to conserve island.

Work: The participants will run the temporary café for a couple of days with international tea and snack. It would be the place to meet different and similar cultures at the same time. It will bring lively energy to village and local atmosphere. There is a typical local masque in the island so that participant will learn how to make the masks. And they will show the masks at the local island festival in Tongyeong on the last day of project. Participants will organize one day summer camp for local youth. They are between 10-15 years old. They will conduct intercultural understanding programs. It will enhance their cultural understanding and communications.
