Berlin’s Forest House: furnish our new volunteer residence

Location/Terminal: Berlin, main train station, airport Schönefeld or airport Tegel

Camp Address: An der Wuhlheide 173, 12459 Berlin

 

WORK

During this camp we will prepare our nice house for the incoming volunteers who are going spend the next year in Berlin. The old building has been renovated and you will bring it back to life. Different works are to be done. Your help is needed to build up the furniture, paint the walls and decorate the rooms. Other small tasks during the camp may include maintaining or renovation works inside and outside.

 

ACCOMMODATION

You will live at the house in Berlin Köpenick and share the room with another volunteer. It takes 30-40 min to get to the city center. The house is situated at recreation area FEZ (https://fez-berlin.de/en) which offers plenty of activities to do. There are climbing center, indoor swimming pool, public bathing beach, lake and many other fascinating spots to discover. You don't need to bring a sleeping bag with you, bed linen will be provided. You will also have the internet access.

 

FOOD

During the project, all volunteers will share the responsibilities for shopping, cooking and cleaning the dishes. Please don't forget your recipes and special ingredients from your country.

 

LEISURE TIME

This will be decided according to the group's wishes. Of course, we will enjoy the sights and culture of Berlin (theatre, clubs, concerts...).
