Summer camp for primary students

CEC (Continual Educational Center) is an English environment for children from 6 – 15 years old. 

Volunteers will be English teachers who will make lesson plan, teach in classes every day. More importantly, volunteers are encouraged to help the children to engage with English through games, songs, sport, music, etc. During the summer, the children will have more free time as they do not need to go for school, volunteers will organize workshops and summer camp for the children. Besides, volunteers will join and organize events such as English club, visiting trips to explore and learn about the city with the children. This is an opportunity for both volunteers and children to get to know each other better and have great time together discovering one of the most beautiful coastline in Vietnam. By these activities, we also hope that both volunteers and children treasure our nature, then have practicals actions to limit the negative impact to environment. 

Phu Yen encompasses a diverse landscape of mountains, rivers, lagoons and fertile plains with nearly 200 kilometres of shoreline along Vietnam's curving south-central coast. Aside from that, Phu Yen is also famous for its amazingly delicious cuisine. 

Work 

Volunteers will interact with the disabled children who are suffering from suffering from cerebral-palsy, blindness or Down's syndrome, Agent Orange, help the nurses feed the children eating and some heavy work. Organize leisure activities for children, teach Basic English through games, activities, songs…Volunteers will organize and run different workshops including: sport, art, music, painting, etc. Bring children to the temple, museum, supermarket to help them practice English in real life. Stand in the class to teach English for children in the evening. Besides, volunteers have chance to experience local lifestyle of one of the most peaceful and beautiful beaches of Vietnam. 

Location 

Tuy Hoa city, Phu Yen province. 

Nearest International Airport 

Firstly, Tan Son Nhat International Airport, then domestic flight to Tuy Hoa airport. 

Accommodation and food 

Volunteers will stay at the guest house of CEC with basic living conditions. Meals are at local food stores near project site. Or if volunteer can arrange time, we can cook inside the guest house 

Remarks 

Toiletries,sleeping bag, light clothes, raincoat, hat, sunglasses, mosquito spray and gifts from your countries (if any), toys and learning materials for the children if you have.
