This project has been organized together with a local group Upple since 2007. Every year, Upple held a summer kids camp with local college students for around 30 kids in age from 8 to 15 in Hiraodai, one of the largest karst plateau in Japan. This kids camp is a great opportunity for children not only to enjoy nature, foster their independence and group cooperativeness but also experiencing cross-cultural learning with international volunteers. Volunteers need to prepare for spending 24 hours with children for this period except for a few days off.

Work: Volunteers will live together, supporting activities in nature and sharing your culture with children. Volunteers will activate the childrens independence and creativity by letting them take care of themselves as far as possible and letting them plan for activity, so volunteers will need to respect their ideas!
