Project description:
The hosting organization of the project is the Kakheti Regional Development Agency (KRDA)
together with the Telavi municipality.
7 of November is a birthday of king Erekle 2, who was born and raised in Telavi, Georgia. King
Erekla was ruling Kartli and Kakheti regions from 1744 to 1762.
Every year Telavi municipality and KRDA are organizing a big event dedicated to the memory of
the king Erekle 2 and turning this important day to the public celebration.
The event takes place in the castle “Batoni Tsikhe”, which was a residence for Kakhetian Kings
between 17th and 18th century.
Local artists, folk dancer, and singers are participating in the event. There will be several picture
exhibitions.
Volunteers will help organizers to implement the event. they will participate in pre-event planning,
promote the event and spread the info materials, make sure the event area is clean and tidy, welcome
visitors, assist staff if necessary, etc..


Working hours:
4-5 hours per day, Monday to Friday. Weekends are for excursions.
Location:
Telavi is the main city and administrative center of Eastern province of Georgia, Kakheti. It is 90
km away from the capital, Tbilisi.


Closest airport is Tbilisi International Airport.


Accommodation & food:
The participant will live in a guest house in Telavi. There will be a budget for shopping, and
participant will cook their own meals.


Participation Fee: 40 Euro.
