Within a territory valorization project directed to young people, Concordia has been associated to organize a workcamp in Crecy en Ponthieu. This workcamp will gather young people of surrounding areas of the Baie de la Somme, French young people and international volunteers. Crecy en Ponthieu owes its fame to the 100 year s war as it marks the end of chivalry and the beginning of the 100 year s war. So be ready for a workcamp at the crossroads of history, nature and the beautiful beaches of Picardie: Fort Mahon or Berck. So an intense workcamp is waiting for you!

Work: Your job will be to renovate the tower that dominates the site of the battlefield: woodwork, wood stain etc. Indeed the wooden cladding surrounding this tower has suffered from time, there will be cutting, fixing and wood stain. On the other hand you will do various small works of development around the site.

Accomodation and food: You will be lodged under tents to sleep at the gymnasium of the middle school of Crecy en Ponthieu. You will share the different collective tasks and prepare the meals together.

Location and Leisure: Crecy en Ponthieu is located in Somme Department of the Hauts de France Region, close to Channel beaches, 30 kms from Fort Mahon.

Requirements: Take some working clothes for the workcamp and closed shoes. Bring your sleeping bag and floor mat. You can also bring specialities, pictures, musical instruments: what you like and want to share during the workcamp, with local population or with volunteers! Work on scaffolding. Foreigners belonging to the European Union must bring with them a personal EHIC (European Health Insurance Card), and everybody must, in any case, bring their insurance certificate. If health issues happen on the project, volunteers will have to pay for it, and then be reimbursed once back in their home country.
