This camp is organized by the municipality of Vaala. Lamminaho is a unique complex of traditional buildings that consists of items and buildings that date back to 1700 and onwards. Lamminaho is an exceptionally well-preserved example of traditional Finnish buildings. They have hosted very successful work camps earlier.

Work: Volunteers will participate in the renovation of local history museum area in Lamminaho, especially in making a traditional Finnish wooden shingle roof. The volunteers will work on a roof so one can not be afraid of heights. The work will be outdoors in all weather conditions.

Accomodation and food: The accommodation is in Uiton Maja which is a well-equipped cabin by a lake. It is possible to heat up the sauna every day and swim as well. The food will be cooked together.

Location: VAALA

Location and Leisure: Vaala is a beautiful place in northern Finland about 90km from Oulu and 600 km from Helsinki. In this camp history and nature are combined with recreational opportunities of Lake Oulujarvi and Rokua Geopark area. The volunteer can practise activities such as hiking and kayaking.
