Background: It is a natural habit of human being to learn and experience of many news things. As a volunteer also would like to get more experience as it will be useful for their future. Normaly a volunteer does an activity in one fixed project during the period of service. Recently we found some volunteers who really have motivation in volunteering and would like to learn and experience from various fields during his/her stay in Indonesia. They didn’t do one project only, but also did several other projects based on their interest. This is a good chance for volunteers to have more and various experiences to do different projects and activities. Volunteer can choose to do 2 or 3 mixed project in the same time; for example first month at school, then second month at orphanage, first two weeks with animal, then third - forth weeks teaching at kindergarten etc. Volunteers may propose their preference of projects based on their willing and interest so that they can explore more about Indonesian lifestyle.
Work: Volunteer may choose 2 or 3 combination project during the period of service based on her/his interest. This is free choice program, so that volunteer can propose combination project to us. Volunteers will have different tasks based on the project they choose (teaching, assisting local staffs, taking care of animal, farming). The role of volunteers will be very much appreciated for Indonesian people to have interaction with foreigners and their cultures and bring different atmosphere in the project.
Study Theme: The volunteers will be introduced to the Indonesian culture and customs in general, with a special focus on the local particularities. Some cultural visits are also foreseen.
Leisure Time: During free time, the volunteers will have the chance to visit tourism places nearby project sites.
Accommodation: The accommodation and food will be provided by a local host family or dormitory that it is depend on the availability of the chosen project (to be confirmed). Facilities are simple and Indonesian style (no hot water, no washing machine). No vegan (strict vegetarian), flexible vegetarian is still welcomed.
Location: Java, Sumatera, Sulawesi, Bali, Kalimantan, Lombok and other islands in Indonesia (placement depends on the availability of the project site)
Terminal: Semarang Airport, railway station
Special Requirements: No piercing on face, no visible tattoo, should have common hair style (no colorful, dreadlock rasta). The volunteer should be open-minded, tolerant, creative, flexible, patient, respect the local customs and local’s rule, sharing , special drive for adolescent and youngsters, willing to accept basic living condition in the project site, and be confidence. Never found guilty in a criminal case in home country or in another country. Pay partial extra fee for every visa extension at local immigration office if stay offer 8 weeks. Intake condition & restriction: No intake on Fridays and during Ramadhan; arrival should be on MONDAY; no pick up during weekend; no pick ups after 21:00 PM
Participant Fee: 300 € or 4.950.000 IDR/month
