We are seeking volunteers to work in multiple locations. Volunteering will pro- vide you with the opportunity to do something different with your life and make a difference, some practical experience and the chance to make new friends from different countries and cultures, explore interesting new places, develop your lan- guage and social skills. You will live in the village, which will give you the opportunity to work and celebrate our festivals throughout the year alongside all the members of the community.
Work: Volunteering will provide you with the opportunity to do something different with your life and make a difference, some practical experience and the chance to make new friends from different countries and cultures, explore in- teresting new places, develop your language and social skills.You will learn new skills.You will learn all about the charitys values and above all you will con- tribute to enhancing the lives of everyone.You will contribute to a varied mix of workshops across the community.Working as part of a team, with people we support, in carrying out day to day duties and activities.Our Village is a Farming community. To work and learn the art of organic farming, whilst working along- side adults with learning disabilities.You will be able to contribute to discussions around the land and farms and capture your interest in learning skills.You will be trained in health and safety regulations and in any equipment you use.
Requirements: you will be 18 years and over.be able to understand spoken and written English and your English needs to be easily understood, verbally and written. be enthusiastic, motivated, diplomatic, honest, reliable, trustwor- thy and have a pleasant nature.You will be patient and will value other people.be self-motivated you will be inspirational and keen to learn new skills.you will be keen to be involved in cultural and social activities within the community. Food: You will be provided with a budget every week if you live with other volunteers or the house you are allocated will be providing you with food. Accommodation: You will live in accommodation with other volunteers or in a house with residents and staff

Insurance: VOLUNTEERS MUST HAVE APPROPRIATE HEALTH INSUR- ANCE, ARRANGED EITHER THROUGH THE SCI SENDING ORGANISA- TION OR INDEPENDENTLY. PROOF IS REQUIRED: WITHOUT THIS VOL- UNTEERS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Separate travel insurance will be also required.
Visa: IVS will help with the visa process if required. Please check your countries requirements for living and working in the UK.
Please note that all volunteers from Mexico must have a volunteering Visa to the UK, they can't volunteer with a tourist Visa.
The volunteering Visa (tramited by the volunteer) costs about £244 and there might be also processing fees + the fees that every Organisation indicates in their descriptions to be paid at the time and payment method mentioned.
